Perform work involving the skills of two or more maintenance or craft occupations to keep machines, mechanical equipment, or the structure of an establishment in repair. Duties may involve pipe fitting; boiler making; insulating; welding; machining; carpentry; repairing electrical or mechanical equipment; installing, aligning, and balancing new equipment; and repairing buildings, floors, or stairs. The housekeeper is responsible for maintaining clean offices and public areas.

1. Performing General Physical Activities
Adjust functional parts of devices and control instruments, using hand tools, levels, plumb bobs, and straightedges. Align and balance new equipment after installation. Assemble, install and/or repair wiring, electrical and electronic components, pipe systems and plumbing, machinery, and equipment. Clean and lubricate shafts, bearings, gears and other parts of machinery. Diagnose mechanical problems and determine how to correct them, checking blueprints, repair manuals, and parts catalogs as necessary. Dismantle devices to gain access to and remove defective parts, using hoists, cranes, hand tools, and power tools. Inspect, operate, and test machinery and equipment in order to diagnose machine malfunctions. Repair and maintain buildings, walls, arches and other structures. Maintain and repair specialized equipment and machinery found in cafeterias, laundries and offices. Paint and repair roofs, windows, doors, floors, woodwork, plaster, drywall, siding, and other part of building structures as well as desks, cabinets or other furnishings. Inspects and maintains Pressley Ridge vehicles on a regular basis.

2. Plumbing
Has general knowledge of Sweat copper joints; use compression fittings; working with different types of valves, use of PVC and CPVC, de-clogging of sewage and water lines; Maintaining exterior grounds drainage, gutters, and down spouts.

3. General Housekeeping
The Housekeeper will have a general knowledge of housekeeping and be expected to occasionally do specific cleaning as requested by the Service Manager or Program Director
