Snowball Dash for Kids
Please come and join us for the first annual Quaker Valley Wrestling & Pressley Ridge “Snowball Dash for Kids” in Sewickley.
For almost two centuries Pressley Ridge has served society by providing exceptional care to children in need and families in crisis. Their services include residential help, foster care, and family-focused education with an emphasis on safety, well being and stability. This year, Pressley Ridge was able to help over 5,400 children and families who faced many challenges. This holiday many Pressley Ridge families will continue to struggle to provide basic needs for their children.
The Quaker Valley Wrestling team wants to help these children and families, but needs your support! The Quaker Valley Wrestling Team and the Quaker Valley Rotary have partnered with Pressley Ridge by hosting a 1-Mile Holiday Fun Run on December 1st, 2012 before the Sewickley Holiday Parade. The wrestlers and kids from Pressley Ridge will be running together to raise money and awareness of this very important need. The wrestling team is hoping that kids and parents will join them on December 1st at 9:30 a.m. as they run 1 mile from Chadwick Street in Sewickley to the start of the Holiday Parade on Beaver Street.
Our wish this holiday season is that everyone will find a way to participate. Your $25 registration will buy a child a warm winter hat, scarf and a pair of mittens and allow you or your child to be a part of the 1-mile fun run.
The mission of Pressley Ridge is to do “whatever it takes to create success for children and families” who need us. What greater gift is there then to make a difference in a child’s life and have the children from surrounding communities support the children and families of Pressley Ridge during the holiday season? Your participation will help us accomplish this.
