On February 8th, 2012, the York/Adams CRR program official kicked-off with the ribbon cutting ceremony at the Pressley Ridge York office sponsored by the York County Economic Alliance. The ceremony opened with a statement by Edquina T. Washington representing the office of York Mayor C. Kim Baracey’s. Tammy Relken, Sr. Director, and Anita Byers, Recruiting and Certification Specialist, had the honor of cutting the ribbon while the rest of the CRR staff Mead Stoner, Program Supervisor, William Goodyear, Treatment Coordinator, and members of local businesses and organizations gathered to watch.
The CRR program is designed to serve youth with intensive needs in a family setting providing appropriate supervision and support. Pressley Ridge’s CRR program focuses on the strengths of every child and strives to keep families together. Treatment parents provide stability, supervision and positive discipline. Children learn to contribute to family life, develop a stronger sense of self, progress to brighter futures as caring adults and experience joy in every day.
We believe ALL children matter; we work hard to ensure that every child who needs our services has the chance to receive them – and the chance to reach his or her ultimate potential.
Our mission statement, “Whatever it takes to create success for children and families”, speaks to our commitment to do all in our power to improve the lives of children and families in the communities we serve.
Inside, approximately 42 guests were treated to a delicious lunch and several donated door prizes while being introduced to the CRR program and staff. The event was very successful and informative with spreading the news about Pressley Ridge’s new CRR Treatment Program to the York and Adams County’s communities.
